as our first camp meal will not be until @5:30pm.
2.Please plan to pick-up your daughter at Camp by no later than
12:00pm on Sunday, August 20th. We will be having final evaluations beginning at 9:00am on the 20th. You are welcome to arrive
early in order to watch!! You can arrive to the camp by 10:00 am if you are interested in watching.
3.A copy of the
directions to Pine Forest Camp are attached for your reference.
WHAT TO BRING
1.Please refer to the attached
list of items, noting which clothing items the girls will need to wear on each day of Camp. The girls will wear their LVRCA
uniforms (skirt, vest, briefs, socks and hair ribbons only) on the last day of Camp when they will perform during final evaluations.
Please bring the uniform hung up in a garment bag or a drycleaning bag. We do not want these to get dirty!!
2. LABEL
EVERYTHING (except the uniforms)!
3.Do not bring valuable items such as jewelry, stereos, etc. We cannot be responsible
for lost items.
4.Do not bring new sneakers to Camp. The Camp property does get quite dusty as well as muddy if it
should rain. Bring old cheerleading sneakers or any kind of support sneaker (not Keds). CAMP TELEPHONE # 1.In the
event of an emergency, you can contact us at the Camp at (570) 685-7141 Just ask for Long Valley Raiders Cheerleading Squads.
CAMP ETIQUETTE Please be respectful of the Camp property as well as each other's property. The cabins will be inspected
each day. Any damages caused will be charged to parents.
1.We will all be in one-big room. It will be much like the
Waltons. It does not matter whom you sleep next to since everyone is together. Please don't make anyone feel badly or left
out based upon the sleeping arrangements. We only spend 8 hours in our bed if we are lucky!
2.Remember to put the
shower curtain inside the shower before you start the water so that we don't flood the bathroom floor.
3.Please bring
an extra washcloth or paper towels in a baggie to wipe the sink area after you have brushed your teeth.
4.Remember
to adhere to the Camp Rules, no tampons in the toilet. Also, if you have your period, please bring brown paper bags to dispose
of your sanitary items.
5.Flushing the toilet is essential. Please remember to do so after each use.
6.Each
day we will need to clean the cabin and the bathrooms. If each cheerleader cleans up after herself, it will make this job
easy and stress free.
8.If it should rain, girls should remember to remove their sneakers upon entering the cabin;
this will avoid a mud trail.
9.Remember to bring flip-flops and a robe for the shower!
CAMP PRINCIPLES 1.Remember
to include everyone!! All three squads should feel part of one big Long Valley Raiders team!!
2.Decide what kind of
an imprint you would like to leave on each other;let's make it a kind and inclusive one!!
Let's make your camp memories
one of your best!!
3.Help one another; in our stunts and in our rooms!!
4.Remember we are only as good as
we make ourselves as a team; TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE MORE!! Everyone counts; that is why you are each on the squad.
5.Do
your best and work hard; we will get out of Camp; what we put into it!!
Finally, please remember your coaches are
there to coach you and be your camp counselors; we are not the maid service. Cabin inspections will be performed daily and
parent(s) will be billed for any damages. Please respect the Camp's property as well as each other's
